Revision Post - Setting
This was part of the original opening setting for the Animation, as it was supposed to be an establishing setting what what looked to be a very prominent, large building as the scene was to zoom into the portion of a meeting center there. It lacked character or invested uniqueness, making it rather static.
This is was the beginning of a solution to the problem. I instead wanting it to start off with a fade in towards a scene with an entirely different plot talked here (link). The idea was nice for the engagement into the movie, but the angle was off. I wanted the visual of the character in the scene to look up as a reporter was talking, but that was beginning to look less ideal.
This was the final product for the case of the opening scene. Although the character isn't drawn here, the idea is for him to walk straight down as the overlaying of the reporter speaking comes in, cutting towards them. Although not exciting, it is designed to make the scene interesting, even if the scenario itself comes off as pretty static. It's the creation of the way to make static ideas more fluid, more volatile. Enhanced with more movement.
