As the first couple of minutes in the movie go by, you immediately understand the setting and how it's different to our lives with an establishing shot. Fire erupts from buildings as lightning strikes the Earth; establishing how chaotic or destructive this story will be put into. Even so, the humming electronics that are being played as well would give you a different sense. That it isn't all destruction and there's a level of management one will see of the place; or that the story will be played away from all that fire and lightning. As it progresses, it motions into a close up of someone's eye which could also be treated as a point of view shot as we see them looking out into an erupting flame coming from the city. And once the music begins to die down, we are brought into a large room with what could be considered a wide shot as a man is likely smoking. During this period as the music dies down, it is slowly replaced with what could be the diegetic beeping of a device in the room.
Of the jobs stated, there's the Supervising Editor, the Music Composer, Associate Producer, Producer, Director of Photography, those who worked on the screen play, another producer, and finally the Director. As for Costs, it made in the Box Office 33.8 million dollars, however, costs for production was at 26 million. As for Awards it was given. The Movie was Nominated for the Oscars for Best Art Direction-Set Decoration and Best Effects, Visual Effects. It was also nominated a Golden Globe for Best Original Score - Motion Picture. It did win a few BAFTA Film Awards for Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, and Best Production Design/Art Direction. But it was also nominated for Best Film Editing, Best Make Up Artist, Best Score, Best Sound, and Best Special Visual Effects. As for Saturn Awards, it won Best DVD Special Edition Release and was nominated for Best Genre Video Release, Best Science Fiction Film, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director, and Best Special Effects. It was also Nominated the Best Cinematography Award by the British Society of Cinematographers and nominated for Best Film by Fantasporto and numerous other rewards which would be too much to list.
