Research - Opening to Ambition (2014)

     In the first seconds of Ambition, it already tries to captivate you with an overwhelming rock formation which seemed to be being made by a girl in the air, moments before her concentration breaks and the entire thing falls apart. Then we are introduced to what seems to be her instructor as he goes on to tell a 'story' of a mission in space to figure out what life may have come from. You are left to wonder where they are and how they can manipulate mineral simply through thought. Everything is implied of being in the future, yet their clothing consists of oriental rags and arranged cloth, giving a sense something must have happened. The short film relies heavily on incidental music mainly to create a tone of wonder within the film. There is a heavy amount of editing as film film creates a sense people are able to use minerals to interpret structures. The film was made on location in Iceland, using the gray stretched landscape for the story of a probe to be told.

    Even though names are given in the title sequence, it's all left implied without any specifics in their jobs. The Film cost and net gross are not mentioned online. However, it is said to have been nominated a VES Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a commercial.
